I reckon this lure is a must-have item in your tackle box and in fact I guarantee that for you, like me, it will become one of your favourites!

The first time I got my hands on this lure I was really impressed with the quality of design and the overall look - but as always, the proof is in the pudding when it comes to performance. And in the water looks certainly aren’t everything, but this design did impress me greatly and is now my go-to lure, and it hasn’t failed me yet.

The lure is a bibbed slow-sinking segmented design that looks very much like an overgrown larvae/nymph and it’s honestly irresistible to trout.  It comes in two different colour styles: white and clear, and brown and olive, with my favourite being the browny-olivey one.

I was fishing the same stretch of water as two of my mates who were using classic tobys, veltics and another brand of bibbed lures - and this out-fished them three-to-one!  We thought maybe it was just a lucky day, but I’ve been out-fished by another mate who used this lure while I was on my favourite other-branded bibbed lure.

It casts nicely and hardly seemed to catch the line in the trebles, and it swims with a nice life-like side-to-side swim.

I find the best technique is to cast the lure over the river so that it swings around and swims into the current with a slow retrieve and a couple of pauses back to your feet; however just before the lure finishes its turn and starts to head upstream make sure you keep the rod tip pointed down and at the lure, then let the current make it swim before retrieving it, to prevent the lure broaching the surface - as the turn is where most of your hits will happen.

I reckon this lure is a must-have item in your tackle box and in fact I guarantee that for you, like me, it will become one of your favourites!
