Nik with the crew's catch - Amazing weekend in Raglan

Wow, what a weekend 3 days fishing out of Raglan. The Bar was flat and sea conditions great.
Friday went north to the northern reefs. Skippys and Albacore anywhere from the 21 reef out to 80mtrs. Some boats reporting while bottom fishing at 77 mtrs and large schools of skippys boiling up around the boat. A lot of boats out wide dragging lures. We however fishing the back of the reefs produced all we needed for a great days fishing. 4 kahawai, 18 snapper around the 40cm and 10 albacore around the 4kg mark, with my son Nik catching a nice 7kg Albacore on a lure on the way home.Click here to read more
