Kayak Fishing

It was Boxing Day, and we were going fishing! The forecast was looking interesting though – 25 knots with gusts up to 40 knots (and that was the best day!). Fishing in strong winds can be a challenge – especially when big fish are towing you - but if you know what you’re doing it can make for exciting times. With a sense of déjà vu, I found myself pulling into my mate Ray’s driveway with the van fully loaded and ready to terrorise the Far North snapper population again. A last-minute illness had reduced our group to only two ... oh well, more space for tackle.Click here to read more
