Marlin mania in the Bay

Nik Mathieson of Saltflyer fishing charters ,Mark Armistead Bay Fisher writer and Niks client Chris frm Denmark fishing near Schooner rock yesterday caught this 117kg striped marlin. The trio reported the fishing was fantastic with several other boats hooking up as well. Chris who was on the rod said it was his first Marlin and he had travelled to NZ specifically to try and catch one,he is flyiing back home today a happy man. Well done guys and thanks for the marlin steaks they were tasty.
