The two premier kingfish destinations in New Zealand (in the world, for that matter) would have to be the Three Kings Islands and Ranfurly Banks. I had always favoured the Three Kings over the Ranfurly for its sheer ruggedness and the spectacular islands in the area - but now, after having been on my first serious venture to the Ranfurly Banks, I may have to change my views.
